What's everyone playing this weekend? I have one day off, I'll be maining Mechwarrior 5: Clans with some Space Marine 2 and maybe some Helldivers 2 or Starship Troopers: Extermination in there. Starship Troopers is still kinda janky but it's great fun so far.

Stopped for lunch not realising there's some kind of nature presentation going on, they've wandered over to my table and there's about thirty people watching me eat while the presenter talks. Send help

Anyone looking forward to new games over the next month or so? I'm waiting for this second patch before diving back into Mechwarrior 5: Clans, Zephon is out in early November.

Can't think of anything else I'm really keeping an eye out for.

Did anyone find anything they liked from the Steam Next Fest? I tried a decent amount of titles for a change, recommended by friends since the algorithm was borked.

Highlights: Those Who Rule, Worshippers of Chtulhu and Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch. And Delta Force but waiting on proper launch.

I was early enough to catch the sunrise this morning. Not bad as far as offices go.

It's so nice checking in on Bluesky and not being immediately spammed with porn, ads, engagement bait and violent content. I joined Twitter late and rarely bothered to engage with it because it seemed like such a weird platform but this is nice. Night and day difference.

I can't remember the last time I was as invested in a TV show as I am in Utopia. Gonna go watch some of this studio's other shows after I'm finished, it's phenomenal.

I was going to hold off on buying Mechwarrior 5: Clans but the patches seem to have fixed most of the technical issues already, so I'm gonna try it out and see how it goes!
