I am pro-FPL joy. If people want Doku in their team because he’s fun absolutely go for it. But know he’s probably not going to get any points. Basically a less oiled up and muscle bound version of Adama Troare

Doku might be the perfect storm of recency bias, unreliable minutes and no end product who twice a season bags a brace, causing millions of FPL managers to rush to him. I do love the rhythms of an FPL season though where your Doku’s, and DCL’s are popular for a week then sold en masse the next

Have looked at Salah for the upcoming good fixtures for Liverpool (only one I’m interested in) but it just doesn’t work with Haaland. Not overly worried about it but still there is fear

Kind of where I’m at. I’ve cut back quite a bit on them because it was affecting how I make my choices. The ones I listen to now are mostly because I like the host personally more than anything. Like

Solid but unspectacular week, green arrow and up 400k. Last 5-6 weeks have been variations of this which make me look at the madness of the first 5 horrific weeks of the season and wonder what could’ve been if I had been as boring and template as I am now 🤷♂️

This seems like it will end quite badly.
All those weeks of not owning Haaland to only bring him in and have him still potentially kill me by not captaining him. Almost like the game wants you to play scared 😬

Watching this spurs team and thinking the NLD after the inter lull might be one of the more stress free ones I’ve had in a while. Who scores goals for this team? Can’t be a Van De Ven worldie every week can it?

May be an off ramp for Sarr and Mateta after Burnley in GW14 if others emerge (Munoz likely a season keeper). Possibly hold to GW16 and Leeds. Even if they don’t pan out, they’ve already been cash cows that will help fund future moves by at least 0.4 going forward

Ended up using a bunch of radish greens I got yesterday in a tofu scramble with turmeric and cheese, and miso soup with some wakame and extra greens. Still have a bag full of them though 😂

Just noticed I only have two players going to AFCON, Sarr and Diouf. The former will probably be out of my team by then, the latter surely will. Having no players in the tournament though probably means I haven’t been picking very good players 😂

66 points and a 7 point green arrow bringing me to 8.7m rank. It’s pretty good for a -8 hit but having a team that’s now “moderately template” instead of “are you f***ing serious?!” differential, just isn’t as much fun. I imagine I’ll snooze my way to somewhere around 5m by the end of the season

I get it, we all want our team to do well. I hated the Mourinho Chelsea teams but respected and feared them. There are multiple routes to winning matches and Arsenal utilize all of them. Also, 18 goals scored this season, tied for second and two off of City in the PL so 🤷♂️

I remember the beautiful (and non-threatening)football of the late Wenger years when people called it naive. Now that Arsenal has defensive solidity and are a threat people call it boring. The through line seems to be that less than style, people just don’t want Arsenal to win football matches

Missing out on the Mateta price rise almost makes me want to just roll with Bowen and bank the transfer. It’s very unlike me to save transfers but no other forward really interests me. The West Ham renaissance starts now! 😬

Have been pretty intense about price drops rises, and checking my rank over the 8 years I’ve played FPL. Those first shocking 5 weeks this season though kind of made me ironically mellow out about this game. Mainly now about the small joys of surprise returns, and the banter with all of you :)

Was going to bring in Mateta and drop Reijnders before their price changes yesterday morning on my way to work but the combination of my cellular carrier throttling my data and the FPL app crashing every time I hit the transfer button had me in a shall we say unpleasant mood 😡

Ollie Watkins ready to drop in price to 8.5m tonight. Probably the most disappointing player in FPL this season relative to expectations. Still think the goals will come and when they do, he’ll probably be somewhere around 8m 🤔
