Key Findings (The Equations)

Adult formulas often over or underestimate pressures in pediatric patients. To solve this, we developed 4 novel regression equations to estimate: ✅ Systolic (SPAP) ✅ Diastolic (DPAP) ✅ Mean Pulmonary Arterial Pressures (MPAP) ✅ Mean Right Atrial Pressure (MRAP)

The Study
We conducted a prospective study on 55 children with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). We compared 18 common adult-based echocardiographic formulas against the "gold standard": invasive cardiac catheterization.
