At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Take a moment of silence at 11am to reflect, be thankful, and remember.

A big thanks to @annaandthedead.bsky.social for the #31DaysOfGraves list this year!

We’re now moving on to our soldiers. Each day, we’re posting information cards to commemorate the soldiers buried in the cemetery, ending with a roll of honour for those who didn’t make it back. Two posted today!

Day 31: Memento Mori. #31DaysOfGraves

Slightly late with this one, and we’ll have to play a wild card instead! The cemetery at night… in the fog! Happy Halloween 🎃

Slight comparison shot, though angled the other way as the cemetery house fence blocks most of the other side. Postcard estimated 1910 ish. The flower borders struggled and died a few times in the late 1800s.

Day 26: Figure. #31DaysOfGraves

In 2020, this angel was still stood, watching over William Ingram. Sadly, today, she is broken. Maybe small enough to repair, we shall have to see.
