We need to have conversations about altering the tenure process. Something akin to Covid modifications but hopefully something more permanent and able to withstand changes in political climate.

I love when folks are thinking of me and sending me jobs. But to be real, I ain’t leaving until I a) get a partner or b) cities are cheap again. There are no more cheap cities where a professor salary w/o another income is enough to get a home, save, pay down debt and have fun!
