ChatGPT’s Deep Research is a bad imitation of research. I asked it to give me a plan for brushing up on my frontend dev skills, and it kind of showed me what I wanted to see, but hallucinated half of the web page links and left the other half without links at all, so the plan is unusable.

If you deliberately use free tiers of ChatGPT and Claude like I do, you can think of them as very smart assistants who get tired quickly and need to rest for a while.
