Music is basically a detective novel where the musicians are the suspects/criminals, the listener is the detective and of course the music is the crime. The listener tries to determine what happened and what was the motivation, while the musicians try to obscure this, so they can get away with it.

Recent promotion cycles for both the new Sabrina Carpenter album and the new Sydney Sweeney movie make me wonder if celebs are now cynically cultivating outrage, thinking we'll be too stupid to remember in 5 minutes.

Judging from the percentage of ""heterodox"-publications-masquerading-as-"just-asking-questions"-liberals" publishing "socialism is bad, actually" takes this morning, conservatives seem pretty seriously rattled after last night.
