Day 2 of the International Conference on Old-Growth Forests & Ancient Trees, organized by the @Carabinieri, ended with a visit to Vallombrosa’s arboretums. Researcher Zoltan Kun (EU FORbEST–Horizon Europe) warned: Europe’s forest monitoring is still “like Swiss cheese, full of holes.” 🌍🌳
