Happy Halloween from Food First NL!

If you're out driving tonight, watch out for little monsters. Take it slow and pay attention. That goes for the monsters, too. We love a good treat as much as the next ghoul, but tummy aches are a rotten trick!

We look forward to the (now) annual living wage report for N.L. These values are important for updating our wages and help inform our advocacy for a province where everyone can eat with joy and dignity.

Always a valuable read!
NL's living wage increased again. While some govt programs have blunted this increase, many fail to account for yrs of high inflation on essentials. There’s a need to increase eligibility cut-offs of govt programs so working people can qualify for much-needed supports.
