"I'm from the confluence of the Ganges; our rivers carry the stories of the climate crisis. We need the finance to adapt, build our future, and protect our communities. Not to come and beg in an annual humiliation ritual for what is rightfully ours."

At #COP30, discussing demilitarisation and #ClimateJustice

Militarism is a tool for prolonging the age of fossil fuels, used by transnational corporations and rich countries to secure profits and control resources. It's a direct threat to life, climate justice and a just energy transition.

"There's been no progress on climate finance. They simply don’t want to talk about how the provision of finance is being implemented. If we are at an ‘implementation COP’ then money must be central.”

ACTION ALERT at #COP30

Climate justice means the Global North must cut emissions first and fastest and repay its ecological debt. It must provide public and non-debt-creating climate finance to the Global South.

Anything less is a denial of responsibility.
