"Ohhh!" Neuvillette couldn't help but suppress a chuckle as the Melusines' eyes sparkled, their gasps of awe following Furina's every move— and with good reason, for she stood out in her attire of dramatic blues and sparkling accessories. He, too, remembered the feeling of wonder that overcame him when he met her for the first time, her extravagance and flamboyant airs completely alien to him. But even back then, Neuvillette could tell that the heart behind the act was pure and true, and he knew that her heart would shine through once more. Now, he thought to himself. If only things go according to plan. "Don't forget what we'd rehearsed," he murmured softly. One of the older Melusines — Sedene, she called herself — was quick to pick up. She clapped her hands together thrice, the sign they'd agreed upon. "Welcome to Merusea Village, Lady Furina!" A little signature drawn by the fic author picturing Neuvillette and Furina holding hands and smiling. In a speech bubble, Mamere's happy face is shown and she's holding a paintbrush; she's just finished painting the two of them (for their wedding JKJK... Unless™️)
