I wonder if those that look at films created before the late-70s and call them boring and slow have thought about the lens they view through. I see people bashing the pacing of pre-popcorn fare and think, "there was a time before the Spielberg/Lucas Era, folks"

My mind was just blown. I haven't verified it, but simply that this statement exists now is scary: childcare costs more than college.

I normally don't listen to End-of- Pod music, but I have been loving @timmiller.bsky.social choices...until today. I still have PTSD from a summer of Ginuwine, unable to escape that song/video (remember those?). Awesome show though - you've dragged me back to the center, ty for the perspective

Completed DM'ing a 36 session middle chapter homebrew campaign last night. Now to start planning the final chapter, but in the meantime I GET TO BE A PC at another friend's table.

Rewatching Mr. Robot and the way Sam Esmail used the rule of thirds is so damn fun. Each shot is framed so perfectly. The show deserves its own class in film school. Though, I bet it haunts him that Phillip Price's mounted TV is crooked....

Finally watching Cobra Kai. Season two complete. I loved the after school special cinematography. That was a choice and I hope it wasn't lost on the audience.

I realize Nebraska gets a bad rap because of our politics, but there is no denying it's kind of pretty. I think I saw every shade of green on a walk today.

My parents influenced my musical taste, growing up listening to Abba, Billy Joel, Cindi Lauper, Breach Boys, Blondie, to name a limited few. I have recently gone back to 90s hip-hop because my daughter has been playing Tyler the Creator and Frank Ocean. Eye-opening experience. Didn't see that coming

So, I have some storylines for my #ttrpg campaigns that were conceived, in some cases over 20yrs ago. Politics is a natural part of world building. I have been hesitant to broach the subject thinking it may upset some PCs given how close it hits. I think the time has come to have those conversations

Just discovered Treadstone. Disappointed to see I'm six years late to the party. I love Tim Kring superhuman stories. They don't get the respect they deserve.
