Wow... Trump, Vance, and Hegspeth turning what should be a briefing about a TRAGEDY, into a fucking RANT about "DEI," saying that ending diversity in hiring will prevent future accidents like this? Could they possibly be more insulting and bigoted and morally revolting?

I didn't expect "Red One" to be as smart, funny, and meaningful as it is. Brilliant casting, quotable script, adorably fierce polar bear bodyguards and a glorious team of intrepid female reindeer. The perfect Christmas movie for a depressed folklorist who's lost faith in humanity.

I'm grading a folklore assignment about rites of passage, and one of my students wrote her essay about her friend’s “bot mitzvah.”
I texted my father about it, hoping for some comforting words of Jewish insight/perspective.

This was yesterday's last skeleton run of 2024 for me; I had a largely successful training camp at Whistler Sliding Centre with no crashes & some improvement (especially in mental focus/fortitude). But now I must hurl myself back into a far more terrifying, treacherous abyss: returning to the US.
