The UK's double decker bus/football pitch/Wales units are ill equipped to describe this meteor, I have no idea how terrified I should be!

I'm part of this generation. I made it through some pretty heavy depression in the 90's and early 2000's, I'm not sure I can make it through this.

A person cannot reasonably claim to have found Jesus when their entire public persona suggests they understand the parable of The Good Samaritan to be the tale of a Priest and Levite heroically refusing aid to someone in need.

In the UK at least, much of Gen X didn't have weed, resin was the cannabis du jour.

One of the few remaining pieces of sanity in the UK, is that we don't fine pedestrians for not going, sometimes, hundreds of meters out of their way to cross the road (excepting motorways), but plenty of other countries enforce jaywalking laws.

I'm not on board with the RoboCop slander, but, otherwise, hard agree.

It's definitely performative for me; I don't have stereoscopic vision, can't see 3D effects, so affected a huff when the first came out, and it's too late to walk that back, but I don't imagine that's too widespread.

With millennials not shifting right as they age, it's now clear the future of the Republican party rests in putting lead back into everything...

There can't be many phrases, in November 2025, more loaded with insalubrious meaning than; "I've known @Olivianuzzi".

Exactly; "Here's a list of things Russia has done despite the existence of a nuclear deterrent, this is why we need a nuclear deterrent", is the kind of bonkers rationale people depend on.
November 26, 2025 at 4:12 PM
There are a bunch of people here in Scotland convinced we need a nuclear deterrent, lest Russia attack, and it is impossible to get them to accept that it won't happen. Like, they really think Europe and the US are just going to stand aside as Russian marches on the UK.

Nothing in the rhyme implies sex or gender, Humpty Dumpty could easily have been a woman egg!

Indeed. Very pleased to hear a shout out for Confuse A Cat, a longtime favourite amongst my parents, siblings and I.

Can't we at least take a minute to appreciate how stoic primeoathh was in the face of not getting discounts? Such inspiring bravery!

Would very much like to see where the nations of the UK & GB rank on this.

I think this might be an original idea, would be a shame if you posted it publicly and someone stole it.

Perhaps there's precedent or an established pattern, e.g.; cows got big into vinyl when the compact disc started to take off?

Almost but not quite, here's a screenshot from the documentary we made about the phenomenon: Paedogeddon - Wikipedia share.google/AmhCzlBvtfnr...

A friend of mine thought the lyrics to that were; "The Vengabus is coming, it's going to steal your children", which seemed ridiculous at the time, but the world has changed a lot since then, so maybe that's why it's back.

Johnson's USP is a preternatural ignorance of current affairs, the mere fact he's aware of the election results means their significance is monumental.
November 5, 2025 at 9:55 PM
In fairness to the Dems, their quandary was about how to excite the electorate about regressive policies nobody wants, and that is a big ask.
