Beat the heat at Fanning Springs
The Pershing Highway was opened in 1917 and was the primary route between Daytona Beach and DeLand. It was abandoned in 1947 once Hwy 92 was completed. This brick section was part of the larger Pershing Triangle which connected Daytona, DeLand, and New Smyrna Beach.
