Wow… it’s strange to see a YouTube comment I made 8 years ago on a song I heard in a movie saying “this movie brought me here” and I didn’t remember the song at all. It was like listening to it for the first time, I had completely forgotten until someone had replied to my 8 year old comment.

So fun fact: the "N-word" only became the "N-word" during the OJ Simpson trial. I forgot who did a video about this but this trial happened in the mid-90s, barely 30 yrs ago for people to stop being comfortable to say it.
And the only reason it’s ever NOT been ok to do/say terrible shit about black people is because black people are the most politically organized. And white people are scared black people will punch them in the face for saying the N word.

My Christmas was wonderful. I got to call my sibling. But I can’t help feeling that sadness in being so far away, even when we’re calling I just wanna hug them. I miss my family a lot, I don’t regret the move, but I dislike the distance.
Hopefully soon they’ll move up my way. 💚
