The Claim: "Record funding" for FL teachers.
The Reality: 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 $𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 before deductions: https://bit.ly/44ka5yQ

Florida ranks 50th in the nation for average teacher pay. Bragging about crumbs won’t solve a retention crisis.

Florida's public schools:
✅ Record 93.8% graduation rate.
❌ 50th in the nation for teacher pay.
❌ Billions diverted to private vouchers.

Public schools are delivering for Florida. Why isn't Florida delivering for our public schools?

Schools, churches, and hospitals should be protected spaces — not places of fear.

Every child deserves a safe place to learn, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

FL's Education Commissioner claims education “isn’t about elevating one educational opportunity over another.”

Reality:

➡️ Vouchers drain $3.8B from public classrooms: https://bit.ly/42s00zO

In Miami-Dade, teachers and first responders are saving lives and educating our kids—but can’t afford to live where they work.

This isn’t just Miami. It’s happening across Florida.

It’s time for state leaders to put working Floridians first. https://bit.ly/49JFhur

FL DOE’s report says Exceptional Student Education is the #1 critical need statewide, yet the Governor’s proposed budget cuts ESE funding by nearly 20%.

Even worse? ESE has the highest share of classes taught by uncertified teachers.

Every student deserves to feel safe at school.

Kids can’t learn when they’re afraid, for themselves or the people they love. Schools should be places of stability and support, not targets for ICE raids.

Tell Congress to protect schools, churches, and other safe spaces. 👉 bit.ly/49pXHQU

At yesterday’s Board of Education meeting, educators shared solutions to FL's teacher & staff vacancy problem.

The State Board's response? “You knew what you were signing up for.”

Dismissing educators’ lived experiences won’t solve FL's teacher shortage.

This is what happens when charter schools lack real oversight.

This FL charter school shut down mid-year, forcing 200+ students to scramble — even though financial reports showed no warning signs: https://bit.ly/4r1LiIH

Students deserve stability & public money demands accountability.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader whose words and actions continue to inspire learning, service, and justice. Let’s recommit to building classrooms and communities where every student has the support they need to dream, learn, and lead. 📚

Co-location doesn’t expand choice—it shrinks it.

Magnet schools lose seats and programs when outside operators move in. STEM, arts, and career pathways get pushed aside, and future students lose access.
