The doors are done. For pieces that are over 80 years old, they took the sanding really well making the high gloss paint look great.

The ice box restoration is coming along. Today, I scraped off some old paint, sanded the top, bottom, part of the front & part of a door. I also cleaned the hinges, screws, nameplate, and locking mechanism. Phew! I am tired.

Mother's Day started with a little kiln maintenance. Upgraded my controller from a Dynatrol to a Genesis. I wanted the larger segment control for my crystalline glazes. Bonus points for not setting my kiln on fire!

Both sides came out great. I think the crystals are a little too dense, but still pretty The crystals grew on the bottom where I only had 2 coats. These were a surprise because they were the mixed up leftovers of the glaze tests from the other bottles. Happy accident. Loving the left side.
