you can't just focus on the fact that it was yours. you have to pretend you're sharing with someone who seemed like they knew what it was and talked about it normally, but in fact had no idea what any of it was.

i wonder about stuff like this because if you didn't grow up knowing halloween or christmas it might be confusing to learn everyone had different phenomenlogical experiences with "the holidays."

basically i was comparing john egbert's movie posters to each of the other friends' hobbies and reeling at the idea that some people might have a phenomenologically discrete experience with ghostbusters or gremlins.

i thought about a world where something easy to grasp like mario was thoroughly foreign to the commonplace. so many people might view mario as alien that it might cause a row.

these games are meant to offer moral courage to the adherent and suggest introspection on their forms. each person got a unique cast. even when we think we speak similar languages our communication styles are very different!
