Brought the potted dahlias under cover a few weeks ago to protect them from too much rain. Despite overnight temps below freezing a few blooms hanging on.

With diurnal temperature variation increasing in the polytunnel decided to bring in the last of the peppers. There were more than i thought!

That will be the last of the figs then. Variety is the dwarf fig Little Miss Figgy. Compact enough for large(ish) pot indoors. Figs a good size and tasty.

Final pick of apples. Not the biggest haul but probably the best apples of the last few years. Not bad for a small cordon.

Finished the footstool at class last night. Have reunited it with its chair. Photo doesn't do the fabric justice, lovely purpley blue herringbone tweed.

Removing some of the foliage so light can get to the melons. Found a couple of ripe ones hiding.

Out on the hill today with a volunteer recorder with Butterfly Conservation looking at Northern Brown Argus habitat. Rock Rose (pictured) is the food source for the larvae.

Seems to be a good year for peppers! Just picked 3.6kg. Should keep us going for a few days.

Sometimes farming sucks! Found our youngest breeding cow dead in the field this morning. Hoping her calf will take to hand rearing.
