When I visited New York for @flamecon.bsky.social, my immediate reaction was to 1) fall in love with NYC, and 2) come to the immediate hot take that everything good that embodied what it meant to be an American - challenges and triumphs - survives in this place.
As Black History Month begins, we honor the generations of Black New Yorkers who built this city into the “gorgeous mosaic” we call home.
