seeing an ai-generated advertisement irl for the first time made me realize something. i could tolerate traditional ads because they were made by a HUMAN. that unskippable youtube ad? it was directed, edited by hand. but now? ai just accentuates the huskness of corporate america.

lots of films nowadays use volume as another medium to convey mood; while this can certainly help, i believe if i need subtitles for a movie, it needs to be mixed better. dune for example, has scenes where the dialogue is extremely quiet, followed by the music overstepping by being extremely loud.

i feel that i subconsciously don't take a song (or anything) seriously if it's got ai art for it's cover image; a common opinion. but at the same time i can't shake it may be an artist who genuinely can't afford/doesn't understand ai controversy. nevertheless, id rather look at mspaint cover art
