Linux gets tough when dealing with specialized workflows. In my experience it can take a lot of compatibility layers, effort, and knowledge to get things functional.
As it stands the barrier is too high when the average person is stun locked at the first question of "which distro do you want?"

More solo dev projects should take big design risks. This game highlights that a game with rough edges but interesting ideas beats one that is super polished but by-the-books

I just finished Plushie from the Sky
It was the most fun I've had with a game in awhile!
Short and sweet, filled with bold design choices. There was consistently new ideas and mechanics which always kept the game fresh. Though there was a lot of jank, the gameplay always felt good
