With their long bodies and dense foliage, Ferneasel are excellent forest hunters. Their prey mostly comes from roots and saplings, so their hunting skills are somewhat of a waste.

Mosseasel rub the mossy parts of their body on one another as a form of greeting, each having distinct smells only they can detect. To humans, a Mosseasel smells like petrichor and many people keep them in their homes to filter the air around them.

Female Hooliduck are even more territorial and build stony armor about their body so they can protect their eggs while roosting.

While these Genmon look cute, they are not native to Hayle and have proven a threat to local watering holes, rivers, and lakes. Their native Region is far more dangerous, giving them a rugged and far more aggressive personality than their looks suggest.

Cindersqueak’s echolocation is so powerful it can even sense variations of temperature. They congregate around large fires and use the difference in body temperature of their prey to perform a near 100% catch rate.
