Puppy update: there are two boys and one person ahead of us that is looking for essentially the same thing we are: confident boy for sports and a potential show prospect
So. We're gonna let them grow for a few weeks and see how they turn out personality and structure wise and then we'll know :)

My job decided to close today and I'm assuming it'll be closed Monday too bc that's when we'll get the worst of the freeze but luckily I get paid for days I was supposed to work of the center has to close down

Fishing Through the Apocalypse is great too if you're ever feeling that good ole ecological doom bc despite everything seeming so awful, especially in recreational fishing, there are people who care and YOU are one of them and you can help make a difference

I think some of my most impactful reads last year were: beaverland, a sand county almanac, crossings, and fishing through the apocalypse
All of the books I read were impactful but these helped further shaped my ecological education by embracing emotion WITH science

I don't think it's very obvious to people how quickly Republicans are trying to push american ecology back to pre-1970s smog and trash and dead fish and purposeful poisoning of rivers all for a little extra money

Just saw an aesthetic cutesy everything I ate today about the town down the road, the town that smells like a feed mill 90% of the time and is constantly overran by bass fishermen and theres a religious dude in an all white cowboy get up that sets up a podcast outside of the courthouse

I'll say though any green thing you do as a consumer is a good thing, I will never forgive people for making everyone think the individual has no responsibility bc the bulk of the worlds problems fall on industry and the selfishness of billionaires, but we can change our behavior way easier
