Hi there! I can certainly see the appeal, especially in light of the alternatives.
And ohhhh well I am excited for that. I can’t pretend to be a serious birder, but I would have to say the Peregrine Falcon.
I read J.A. Baker’s The Peregrine maybe 15 years ago and have been enchanted since.

@charlottelace.bsky.social you've managed to not only get me to create a BlueSky account, but also dick around on here long enough to get my bearings and find your profile. Pretty impressive. Site like a 2011 Twitter redux but I can't say I hate it. I'll have to think about my bucket list bird.
