Agent of chaos in Scotland that loves to travel and take too many photos. Expressive painter and printmaker & compulsive sketchbook filler and mentor. Being an artist is in my bones ☠️
Let the adventure begin - after I’ve got over my jet lag of course!

The sadness of elephants.

At the beautiful Amber Fort near Jaipur we walked up the winding road from the car park, but you could ride on an elephant. I found the idea of the latter quite upsetting, especially as they were loaded with fat tourists and continually being whacked with sticks 😔

In the new year we are heading back to India for our third trip. I have a pile of prints I want to complete when I return with renewed passion for this crazy place. I also can’t wait to bathe my pale face in that glorious winter sunlight.

Follow @trevormwilson.bsky.social to join the journey.
Shots like this one remind me of the importance of getting out of bed bright and early to capture the beautiful warm light and long shadows of a typical Indian morning when we visit soon.

I found this little treasure in the archive whilst tidying up. It’s an original etching printed by my own fair hands and I have only a few left out of the edition of 15. I popped one in my online shop to celebrate the #wintersolstice

Creativity is a cruel mistress - When shadows dim the spark of light, the artist wakes when fear takes flight.

I loved our trip to Mexico last year for #diadelosmuertos and the photographs taken by my husband just take me right back there.

Four black and white photographs from last year's trip to #Mexico City. I could do a whole project just on the classic cars that lined the streets - one the unexpected things I found whilst mooching about the enormous city.

If anyone here is an #artist, or interested in #art, take a look at my wife @fionawilsonart.bsky.social who has just joined Bluesky. She's a full time painter and #printmaker working from her studio in Glasgow.

This week I started a month of exploring #printmaking, starting with #etching. I am enjoying developing this old steel plate and trying out my new #indigoblue ink from Hawthorn Printmakers.
