Instead, she invites us to see the natural world as a gift, something to care for and not control. This mindset shift, grounded in both Indigenous science and environmental ethics, fosters a sense of moral responsibility toward all living systems.

Limonium narbonense can tolerate salty conditions by pushing excess salt out its’ leaves. This allows it to inhabit environments many other plants are unable to. I absolutely love this plants’ way of tolerating harsh conditions by creating little salt crystals!

Old books sometimes get a strange "vanilla" smell... 🤔👃

That scent comes from the breakdown of paper and ink — releasing hundreds of volatile organic compounds, including vanillin, aldehydes, and acids.

So that cozy library smell? It’s literally the odor of books slowly decaying...📚

I started a substack to share my writing!

It will probably be mostly poetry as that is the language I feel most at home in. But every now and then, I will likely also share some longer-form pieces. The writing will be reflections on my life and experiences.
