Rian Johnson revealed he wasn't originally aware of Josh O'Connor when it came to casting the movie. "He was an amazing discovery for me because I hadn't been familiar really with his work, and then Daniel Craig brought him to my attention," he recalled.

This person gets MILLIONS to make films.

Gothams next week. Rose Byrne in Lead and Jacob Elordi in Supporting.

How did Hollywood miss #BobTrevinoLikesIt last year? We hear all this garbage about hacks like Adam Sandler getting a supporting actor nomination, but #FrenchStewart delivers an unbelievable supporting performance and it makes no waves. Literally did not know he had this range - truly incredible 👏👏

Really looking forward to new Bradley Cooper film when it eventually hits Australia. He's such an underrated actor and has potential as a comedic director

With #GetOut, #Sinners and #TrainingDay, I love some of this list. It's pretty sad though to not understand that there are brilliant women and gay men making movies, from Todd Haynes to Kelly Reichardt, not to mention international filmmakers

2025 Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) rocks! So many awards for #Sinners - as there should be.

#MilesCaton needs an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Filho said, “Udo Kier, always remembered. There will never, ever be another person and artist like Udo Kier. What a sense of humor, what good taste, what a joy to live. How lucky are we". Well said!

I couldn't be more disappointed in Train Dreams aka Manchester By The Trees. I love Joel Edgerton and his performance is terrific, but we didn't need another solipsistic white male grief trauma borefest. It's also cringily Orientalist, with the dead Chinese dude looming silently from the grave

RiP to the icon #UdoKier! One of the great Draculas ❤️❤️❤️ I loved him so much in Swan Song and My Own Private Idaho as well as his Warhol classics.

Udo & Arno Juerging in Blood For Dracula - one of the funniest screen duos :)

My 4 most recent #NicolasCage ... Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, Wild At Heart, The Surfer, and Adaptation. Good times. I'm ready to fire up Adaptation again already :)

Rose Byrne in If I Had Legs I'd kick You - tour de force. We've had some incredible movies by, for and about women the past few Oscar seasons - The Substance, Anatomy of a Fall - and this is another astonishing, complex and fearless feminist film. Bravissima!

Why do the AARP issue awards for people over 50 & call them "awards for grown-ups"? I get that Hollywood is ageist but most of the people nominated are already contenders. This isn't an Oscar precursor and shouldn't be treated as such. Vulture has foolishly adjusted its Oscar rankings for no reason

Watch (or Rewatch) one of my favorite films: "Broadcast News" (1987) - Dir. James L. Brooks

Fantastic performances by Holly Hunter, William Hurt, & Albert Brooks.

And, this unforgettable scene featuring Joan Cusack. ⬇️

Amazing to see #MichaelBJordan holding strong in Oscar predictions while #JoelEdgerton and #EthanHawke are surging. Nobody wants George Clooney or Jesse Plemons nominated for playing yet another version of themselves we've already seen

Hell yeah!
Congratulations to the GOAT!
#BeingEddie is a must watch btw

Is America okay? Should countries like Australia be requesting UN intervention? What's going on in your country is so far outside our norms that it's like reading about a war zone.

#Bad-lieutenant-port-of-call-new-orleans, what a movie. Peak #NicolasCage and #Herzog, zeiting each other's geist perfectly. The James Ellroyesque script is really enjoyable, no spoilers but it's brilliantly executed. Cage's performance is incredible, one of his greatest 🙌

I don't think Americans realise how disconnected they are from other countries. In Australia, a politician who said what Trump did would have to leave Parliament. There would be protests outside their office and the media would uniformly shame them. It actually just wouldn't happen.

Hilarious trailer for the new McHungerGames movie.

What I love is the young Aussie guy in the lead role. Fully expected him to crack out his vape or tell old mate next to him to piss off. That is the most Strayan looking actor I've seen in a long time:) Funny to find out his dad was on All Saints

I'll never understand the love for this detestable, misogynist movie. McMurphy is a sex offender and Nurse Ratched is a woman doing her job. Black orderlies are vilified, "Chief" is a stereotype and the film codifies racist, sexist power structures. It's appalling.

Hilariously, Matt Damon says he deserved "at least a nomination" for a long forgotten movie Courage Under Fire.

Ethan Hawke in First Reformed deserved a nomination. Lupita N'yongo in Us. Danielle Deadwyler in Till. Toni Colette in Hereditary.

Damon is a hack and lucky to still be cast ffs

Del Toro's #Frankenstein is great. #JacobElordi is stunning as the creation. I think many of us were required to read Mary Shelley's novel for school or, in my case, university. It's a faithful adaptation that harnesses Shelley's radical politics to Del Toro's exquisite visual language
