I've started the rewrite and already everything is making so much more sense 😅

I realized mid-draft that the story I thought I was trying to tell is not the reality of what I was writing. And that the story I actually want to tell is going to be very draining for me to write on an emotional level.

Sometimes I forget that I basically live in the heart white supremacist territory in Idaho until I look at the news

Some people really have nothing but nerve. Daring to ask how things are going as though they aren't one of the reasons that everything is in shambles and falling down all around you, the passing of time becoming a meaningless concept as the days begin to blur together

Sometimes, when I can't figure something out for my novel, I'll put aside and work on something completely different. And I'm not ashamed to admit that the something different is just fanfiction.

Every so often I'll go and consume the same 15 books by a specific author and every single time I'm shocked by how dark one of them gets and how emotional another leaves me.

I don’t know why I’m still so pissed off that the answers to “what, where, and when” are “that, there, and then.”

Deciding to scroll back through the different versions of my project to see when I started it reminded me that while I started 2 years ago, my work on it has been very inconsistent and so I'm not very far at all. 😅

I love when I get a facebook notification about a memory and it's just a vague post my mom made 12 years ago.

Just when I thought I'd get a quiet Thanksgiving, I get called in for the next shift because the person scheduled got sick

First actual snowfall of the year

I've made a mistake by deciding that YouTube videos would be wonderful background noise while writing and now I'm just completely distracted.
