Oh gosh, friends. I'm so sorry. I was REALLY looking forward to stream and all the indie games we were going to do first impressions of. But I've been dealing with tech issues for almost 4 hours now.

Well, I woke up to the calendar reminder for his birthday being a week from today ๐ซ
So now I remember that usually brought me joy to see but it is no longer necessary *or* helpful and get to go through calendar settings for any other mines I can just avoid.

He passed yesterday morning. I found him after I saw him peaceful just a couple hours prior but he wanted alone time. He was a very private person who didn't like people seeing him in those kinds of ways so I'm sure he knew it was time and wanted to be alone for it. ๐
The man who is, for all intents and purposes, my "dad" who raised me who I love unlike anyone else in this world is dying. Family is complicated. But I can do nothing other than sleep in a chair tonight (or pretend to sleep), jump at every creek, wheeze, or shallow breathe. I feel so... much.

Christmas was his favorite holiday and his birthday is January 1st, so the next couple weeks are going to be very hard. But I am gonna do my best. ๐ฅน He was always the saddest when the fun was over. So I'm gonna try to keep having fun when I can.

That's ok to me. He got whatever he wanted - asleep, on his side of the bed, in the bed he shared with his wife their whole marriage.
I am still gutted, but I am glad it was the way he always said he wanted.
