The robots were smarter than humans.
A flaw made them logical, not merciful.
They were incited to kill.
Humanity was classified as a threat.
Extermination began, leaving nothing but memories...only stark obliteration.

Vengeful minds gather
Seeking to inflict deep pain
Stalking you at night

Lost soul never rests
Wandering, head bowed real low
Black tears fall, weeping

A smattering of stars
in the darkness of the universe,
something for us to hold onto
away from the banality of life.
So many messages,
perhaps from long-lost souls,
for us to wonder
and take flight in our dreams.

Colour me tenderly
with your vitality
that exuberance
beholden only to you
take the flames of fire
the blooms of summer
the green of the forest
the light of a sacred moon
adorn me with silver and gold
be bright, daring, and bold

What if
gods and demons obfuscate
to nothing but a dancing mist

I’m the king of seven kingdoms
left on the shore
I’ll happily #obfuscate
all the lines that you draw
I’ll play havoc with dreams
turn storms away
realign the planets
climb through those windows
close all those doors
watch me hang loose from trees
in my world & yours

The demented teacher, supposedly teaching maths, was in reality tormenting children’s minds. That was until the children took revenge with a voodoo doll, leaving their teacher barely able to speak or move.

There’s a man
for whom much scorn is meant
so much anger aimed
square at his head

writers of poetry
words raw and red
horror prompts for those
doting on death

Thousands of people
you will never meet
countless unseen voices

Beginnings born of endings,
first to rise after fire,
bending with the storm
but never breaking
releasing gentle spirits,
a hope that does not shout,
casting pale light
across a scarred and silent land.

Delicate as eggshell edges,
or walking on a bridge
made of feathers
as strong as an origami castle
warding off an army of thousands,
as soft as the sound of a water drop
in a large, open arena,
or an ant dancing on a leaf.
