I've been unenamored and uninspired by the Democratic Party for years. If we (they) can get back to being the voice and the champion of the people who do the actual work in this country, and hammer home strong messaging about that, we can reshape this hellscape of a reality.

Venezuelan "drug bust" boat blow-ups are an illegal coverup for what's really going on. If this were a real thing, T wouldn't have pardoned Juan Orlando Hernandez, convicted and serving 45 years for trafficking 400 tons of cocaine into the US. So what's the real thing?

I've always put my faith in Lincoln's phrase, "Of the people, by the people, for the people." There is now a fundamental disagreement about the role of government. I continue to believe one of its roles is to act "for the people" which means services. Now all that is in jeopardy. What do we want?

I hope the Dems don't equivocate. But I want a strong message. Yes, stand up for healthcare, but also: Stand up for Congress's Constitutional authority. End this relentless shredding of our Constitution as a whole. Stop kowtowing to bully behavior. Don't fund Executive branch lawlessness.

No one is celebrating a murder. But why would anyone honor someone who said of several Black women, including Michelle Obama and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, that they did “not have the brain processing power to be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot.” ?
