What is painful about life is realizing we are not two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl like Pink Floyd said. We are many lost souls swimming in an ocean. Condemned to not even found each other most of the times.

There is a term in Spanish: “saberes” it literally translates to “knowledges”. What is lost in the translation is that “saberes” references comunal wisdom and skills and not just theoretical knowledge. A space where a plurality of human experiences converge, each one is unique and honored.

I work at a traveling high school and just read “The case against traveling” by @agcallard.bsky.social
I want everyone at my school to read it. Traveling is no virtue and has no inherent value. We have related traveling with developing certain attitudes and skills but I don’t think it is the case.
