🧶 #KnittingForNiblings The second dinosaur pullover is blocked, and I love the way it turned out. I think 3 year old nibling will appreciate it, and I‘m looking forward to giving it to them in a few weeks. The pattern is by @aimeeshermakes.bsky.social #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶 One more for #ShowMeYourKnits. Holding a strand of lace weight alpaca with this wool gave me a beautiful hood that has been one of my go to pieces for three years now. I like to wear it any time I’m wearing a jacket without a hood. Pattern and yarn info in alt text. #KnitSky

🧶 Back to #KnittingForNiblings. This is the first pair of trousers I made with the Siri pattern by Sanne Bjerregaard. It‘s supposedly sized for 6-9 months old, but seems quite large, even though I got gauge. 🤷 Anyway, it is going to a future nibling, arriving in a few months. #KnitSky

🧶 I‘m too itchy to knit with floofy yarn a lot. I like the way the strand of light brown alpaca gives a slight halo, and brings the colours together, but this pullover does not see as much use, as it deserves, and is one of my very few projects to have a floofy strand. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶 Dinosaur pullover no. 2 is well under way. Both siblings love pink, but don‘t get to wear it often. So I found colourways that incorporate it. I hope I‘m there when they really examine these sweaters and compare what designs they have on them. #KnittingForNiblings #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶 #KnittingForNiblings continues for future nibling that will be joining us soon. Lolo thought he‘d buy me yarn, in light blue and pale pink for some reason. I‘m using it to make nibling welcome things. This is the third project. I‘ll get around to showing the others soon. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶 Just off my needle, washed and blocked, I present my finished bright dinosaur sweater, sized for 6 year olds. Blocking magic worked, my trust was rewarded. I can‘t wait for 5-year-old nibling to receive it, but that has to wait for sibling‘s pullover to be finished too. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶I forgot what I was posting about here 🙈 It‘s been a bad pain week though, so it‘s not surprising. This is the second #KnittingForNiblings project I finished in the last two months. The cousins can match, but not match, now. This 2-colour version is sized for 3-4 year olds. #KnitSky

🧶 #KnittingForNiblings this autumn started with this jacket for the 1 year old in squishy brioche. The parents have had to switch out the rainbow snaps because they didn’t hold well. Good thing I had knit button holes, so it was no problem. #KnitSky

🧶 The work in progress that fascinated the 5 year old nibling. I’m a bit apprehensive it might turn out too small because I did not swatch and just hoped for the best with my references from earlier projects. 🤫 Don’t tell the kid. Isn’t it beautiful though? #KnitSky #KnittingForNiblings

The 5 year old this morning: Was? Knittest du nur mit eine yarn colour? Wo ist deine colourful yarn?
I speak English with them, they speak a mixture of German and English with me. I had to switch to my second project because I forgot to bring the needles I needed. #KnitSky #KnittingForNiblings
🧶 The 5-year-old has finally started showing an interest in my knitting. I am knitting a wonderfully colourful pullover for them. We spent at least half an hour talking about knitting, and my tools, and they helpfully unwound yarn from the ball for me as needed. 🥰 #KnittingForNiblings #KnitSky

🧶 I’ve had some problems with adding pictures to posts, but I’m glad it’s working again. I’ve been on a big #KnittingForNiblings kick, and have finished a top, two jackets, and this pullover in the last month, and still so many plans. #Knitsky

🧶I’m not big on spooky knitting, so this is the closest project I’ve made. I thought this hank would be variegated, instead it turned out to be colour blocked in these beautiful spooky season colours. Meanwhile #KnittingForNiblings and #Socktober continue bts. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶 Who needs sleep? I accidentally kept myself awake by hyper focussing on my kdrama and these socks until past midnight last night. Suffice it to say, this morning was very slow. I made it to my appointment on time though & started another pair of socks as travel knitting. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

🧶 #ShowMeYourKnits I spent a lovely day playing with two of my niblings. It was a successful day because the 3-year-old asked to continue playing with me instead of going to bed 😄 Here are the last socks I finished. They’re knit in reverse stockinette from the rest of the yarn from my top. #KnitSky

#KnitSky What are the baby knits you’ve made that have been most used or appreciated?
I want to make something for the next baby. Siblings got and used baby blanket and romper sack, but parents have those. So I’m wondering what to make for this baby, that is most likely to be used.

🧶 I made this monster book end a few months back, and somehow it just has a very whimsical, but kind aura. It’s a good listener for sure. This evening it’s cheering me up while I’m feeling very overwhelmed by work. Pattern: Monster Bookends by Rebecca Danger.

I’ve somehow launched myself from being uninspired what to knit next into projects for my niblings. They are the ones I knit for most apart from myself. Always a joy, and a labour of love. This one flew off my needles. I hope nibling will be able to wear it next year. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

All finished, and I won yarn chicken! Less than 1g of the light green yarn left, less than 5g of the other. I love when my plans work out 😄 Definitely a joyful knit. I’m thinking about selling this one. Any recommendations where to do that with least hassle in DE or EU? #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky

Project 2 is finished and blocked, and ready to be worn over shirts. Blocking did wonders. I ran out of the light pink yarn. The plan was for 6 more rounds which would have brought the fade down to the hem. Pattern: Everyday Round Vest by Noriko Ichikawa knit inside out. #KnitSky #ShowMeYourKnits

#ShowMeYourKnits Here‘s an autumn project that matches my current project. My first Pyramis was part of the test knit, and I added the sleeves after finishing the sleeveless version. Ainur added a sleeved version to the pattern, so now anyone can make a lovely cozy sweater like mine.

Project 3: This also came on our trip, though I didn’t work on it much. It‘s my current „at home“ project, and I am now knitting the sleeves taat because I might run out of light green yarn, and I want them to be even.
Today I am pooling my energy for my nibling‘s birthday party tomorrow.
