#100DaysPHDLife #PHDLife after almost one moth, trying to get back on track. As I started working, had to focus on preparing classes. So, bibliography review got on stand-by.

E, claro, posso mentorar 💜

Criar comando `extra-indexes` · Issue #279 · cuducos/minha-receita

#100DaysPHDLife #PHDLife Doing bibliography review with #pomodoro technique means dedicating 25 mins to study, then 5 mins ~break~ doing laudry, washing dishes & etc... This is no a complain.

#100DaysPHDLife Could maintain the peace reading everyday at least 1h. Happy with the fact that every paper read, the 'to read' list grows.

volta gemidao.

#100DaysPHDLife #PHDLife Before I even start writing, I am wondering what tool should I use? It should be versionable (GIT); allow me to integrate with programming languages (Python and R). Really considering using #Quarto. Any thoughts or suggestions?

#100DaysPHDLife Started resuming last papers read by using #pomodoro techinique. after all 1.7 hours working and 30 min. break. Let see if I can keep it

#100DaysPHDLife Read a good paper reviewing the use of remote sensing in water quality. Hope my worflow works: using #zotero to manage and read papers then summarising then w/paper and pen

#100DaysPHDLife Does anyone have any strategy for reading scientific papers digitally? So far I have been printing as I feel I can concentrate more. Reading PDF is like having everything distracting. How do you avoid distractions while studying on a computer?

#100DaysPHDLife after a week break, spend some time today installing and preparing #zotero (a.k.a procastinating).

I'm back from a trip with my wife and son, shocked by the reality that kids are using smartphones during meals and even while playing on the PC, they have a phone nearby with short videos on a loop. It is hard to argue with my son that this is not good.

#100DaysPHDLife in the last two days of work I have read about eutrophication process in lakes; and started organizing the bibliography in #Mendeley (a.k.a procastinated :). By the way, does anyone have any advice on using #Mendeley or #Zotero? I have used both. Can't remember which I like best

#100DaysPHDLife really productive day. Finished reading and resuming the first paper and still have time to resume an old one already read.

#100DaysPHDLife skipped two days working on paralel project. Somehow dealing with data structure will be used in my research. Maybe not so bad though. Today I spent a few hours researching Uruguay and their water quality projects.

#100DaysPHDLife 1st paper read. Bringing up more questions about aquatic environment and eutrophication process made me go for it. Learned more about it than #RemoteSensing itself. Better than expected.

In 2017, joining #100DaysOfCode helped me to stay motivated to learn #Python. Now, as a PhD candidate, I'll need much more effort, but I'll use the idea to stay motivated. Expect #100DaysPHDLife posts—feel free to mute them
