4 years ago I bought a sickly climbing rose purely on the strength of it's single flower's gorgeous scent. This year it's surging up it's support and covered in big fat buds. It's sweet, spicy, fruity and heady and it's filling the air around me. Ain't it the simple things? 😻

In Southern Spain we've had a series of dry springs but this year we've had a fantastic amount of steady rain and the wild flowers are out in force. Fermented mustard greens anyone? Can't wait to try them

Traction on the new microcement passage outside my back door is not good when it rains and my cat likes to spring out when I slide the door open. Am I wrong to chuckle every time I watch him navigate the sloping sharp bend at speed in a slightly modified, nifty 4-footed dance every time? 😹
