Not just a pipeline issue: “women leave academia at higher rates than men at every career age. Women are more likely to feel pushed from their jobs, and women leave because of workplace climate more often than work-life balance” (US data but certainly fits with my anecdotal experience)

What are your favourite examples when teaching students to think critically about data/figures and interpretations?

For example, Simpson's Paradox and the importance of considering important subpopulations - is brilliantly displayed in the Palmer Penguins dataset.
