Jackson CA is a small gold rush-era town of about 5000 in a red county (Trump won 62% of the 2024 vote). On Saturday we joined about 700 others along Highway 49 there to defend democracy - peacefully and joyfully! Cars and trucks honked their overwhelming support.

The Trump administration is ready to shut down the only two satellite missions that measure global carbon dioxide. Congress will push back on these cuts, but we must let our representatives know what's at stake!

The Trump administration has asked NASA staffers to draw up plans to end at least two satellite missions that measure carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, according to current and former NASA employees.

Today is Memorial Day in the US. We remember those who died in service to our nation.
They were not of one race, or gender, or heritage, or native language. They did not love in the same way. They weren’t all born in the US. But they shared a love of country and a willingness to sacrifice all.

Recently we visited Carlsbad Caverns National Park, arriving as two NPS rangers raised the flag. No ceremony, no pomp, just a simple salute. Two government employees doing their job, serving the public, and honoring their country. Just like millions of federal workers across the US, every day.
