Trauma, defense mechanisms & cognitive dissonance cloud the truth. Someone can be deeply drawn to you obsessed, even and still choose not to engage. It’s not bc they don’t care. It’s bc the mental, emotional, and psychological blocks they’re carrying make it feel impossible to act on their desires.

Interesting how we often interpret minimal communication as playing hard to get or being mysterious rather than the far simpler explanation: insufficient interest.
