I have been so sick and exhausted that I haven't been able to make much art at all for the last few months, but I finally got a chance to finish a big new piece last night!

The black bears were SWIMMING at the zoo yesterday. I've been going to this zoo for a couple years now and I have never once seen them swim! Seemed like they were having a good time though.

Our snow is melting and I'm a bit sad. But I know it's for the best. Nobody in Louisiana knows how to deal with snow, myself included.

I never thought I would see this. We got 8.5 inches of snow in my backyard and 10 in the front. This canal (or ditch, depending on if you want to sound fancy or not) is just past my front yard and it has always been pretty to me, but I've never seen it like this. Gorgeous.

We might get snow in New Orleans on Tuesday. That is bizarre. I wonder what all my poor backyard frogs would think of it.

My mother in law feeds the pigeons. I thought I could get close for a photo, but it seems I got too close.

Ran into a swamp giant over the summer. It's wild what trees and vines can look like sometimes.

Working on a new painting, something isn't quite right so I'm going to stare at it for a few days and let it simmer.
