Microsoft: we haven’t rebranded Office to be Microsoft 365 Copilot

Corporate users: the Office web apps literally say Microsoft 365 Copilot
It’s still all over the place. Lots of people in orgs use the web apps - on office.com - but those are labelled Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Basically the branding continues to be a trashfire, I’m not sure Microsoft even understands the user experience now.

Just seen the new solid state battery unveiled by Donut Lab and it's an industry changer. This is one to watch. The cells exist to buy TODAY. It's not tech trapped in a lab.
Seriously, watch it all the way through.

“Enforced company shutdown over Christmas”

No thanks. I’ll holiday when school is back and the weather is good.

Mine should be across 6-10 disks at minimum. Good luck finding them!

Only 29.1 here. Positively chilly

There have been a few 3rd parties in this who have not been showering themselves in glory.

Totally fair. Outside my office yesterday was about 28… it’s not lovely.

Are you bulk ice making for the upcoming heatpocalypse?

We had 35 all around Tassie last year (end Jan) and it was…. A lot.

Ask your bank who’s information your transactions and records are.

Hint: they are not yours. According to them anyway. Without open banking regs

Damn there is some bad prose/grammar/formatting in there. Given the situation and the PR firm involved (still??) I’d expect it to be extremely on point

And my English skills are pretty mid to be honest.

Rather lovely bioluminescence at Palm Beach this evening. Not bright enough for phone photos tho.

There are always to do it (encrypt with key A then encrypt key A with password. Roll password just encrypts key A) but … you wouldn’t.

Not sure how protected those are. Zip is AES256 and I’d hope PDF is similar.

But I’d also wager that no one - not the patient or doctor - can read it. I have a bunch of PDFs from a medical provider where I’ve lost the password and they cant recover it either. They gave it on a business card

Add slack to the list of “companies who have no fucking idea there is a world outside of the US”

Snow day would be interesting! More likely I’ll end up at the beach or having a BBQ tho.

“You can infer this fairly safely because resetting passwords doesn't cause users to 'lose' their stored documents. If the data had been encrypted properly with keys tied to credentials, access would break when credentials change."

🤦‍♂️ that’s not how it works….

Rather good summary of the MMH situation by Marcus. Detailed, not trying to scare, not assuming too much. 👍👍
A number of people I know are either just catching up on the MMH news or are unaware so I put together everything I've posted so far into a blog post: utf9k.net/blog/managem...

I wasn't sure whether I'd bother sharing it but apparently Reddit found it while I was sleeping
