The Second half of the minor league season is well underway. Prospects have begun to shuffle, with Carter Jensen being promoted to AAA and plenty of others following suit. Pitchers have been the main movers this season, with injury playing a big role in the organization. Speaking of injury, Cam Devanney is back and playing like he did to start the season.

The 2025 MLB Draft takes place on July 13 and 14 in Atlanta, Georgia. That's right, this year's draft is spread across two days instead of the three that we've grown accustomed to in recent years. Day one will consist of the first three rounds, with rounds four through 20 coming on day two. That's a ton to pack into just two days, and it will certainly be a jam-packed event once again this summer.

This was a great week for both bats and arms. Carter Jensen yet again continues to tear up AA and hits .400 for the third week in the past month. Unfortunately for him, another player has had a great week to keep him out of the honor for a second week. Starters came back in a big way this week after disappointing performances in week 9.

Offense was up in the minors this week, with some key standouts. After two straight weeks, Carter Jensen was narrowly dethroned as the Naturals’ hitter of the week. After two weeks of hitting over .400, Jensen finally fell back to earth… and hit .368. An incredibly underrated arm continues to flash in High-A and may be the most intriguing arm in the system in 2025. 

Jac Caglianone has been called up! And with that sentence, I will have officially covered him as a minor leaguer for the last time. As of June 1st, he will be a major leaguer in the minors at most. This week was a flash week for some prospects who have struggled to start the season. In Omaha and Springdale, some bats who have had their lows started or continued hot streaks.

The Royals are on the right side of a minimal-scoring game versus the best pitcher in the game.

It's no secret to anyone at this point what plagues the Kansas City Royals most. The team's offense has sputtered in 2025, to put it lightly. Entering Tuesday night, the club had scored just 3.3 runs per game. 183 runs scored was good enough for 27th in baseball, ahead of only Texas, Colorado, and Pittsburgh. The offensive issues date back to before Opening Day, all the way to the middle of last season.

He played just 38 games with the Naturals before the Royals front office promoted their top prospect to Triple-A Omaha. Caglianone has started playing right field this season and has showcased the immense raw power that he's come to be known for.

Once the two worst offenses in baseball, now the shareholders of second place in the AL Central.

In the fourth inning, he hit a two-run shot to break a home run drought of over a month and push the Royals’ lead to 6-1.

It’s been a busy week as the organization shifts around a lot of talent. Most notably, Jac Caglianone has received a very anticipated promotion to AAA. Multiple arms were moved around as the Major League squad dealt with some injury troubles. Finally, we’ve seen some fantastic starts out of the offense on the farm. Multiple prospects have shown some promise and increased performance, heightening expectations as the season progresses.

The Royals set a new personal best in their Get Shutout Any% speedrun.

In one of the more suprising moves of the season so far: The Royals signed veteran left hander, Rich Hill, to a minor league contract on Tuesday. He is going to report to AAA Omaha soon to get back on track. Hill, 45, seems to be looking to get back to the major leagues with what would be his 14th team if he makes it to Kansas City at some point during the 2025 season.

With Hunter Dobbins going six scoreless for the Red Sox, then Michael Lorenzen one upping him; going seven scoreless. Continuing the dominant run from this Royals starting pitching staff. As I’ve said many times before, if this dude is your five starter you are in great shape.

The Red Sox are a bit uneven, but they have a few frightening hitters and will be using the best part of their rotation.

The Kansas City Royals are 15-2 in their last 17 games and have won six in a row.

Dazzling defensive plays, a great start by Sean Burke, it was looking like the White Sox were going to just out play the Royals. They scored on a Brooks Baldwin single and an Andrew Vaughn fielders choice, and they were in the lead 2-0.

Record: 19-16 Winning/Losing Pitcher: W: Angel Zerpa (2-0 | 4.15 ERA) L: Yennier Cano (0-1 | 1.54 ERA) Key Highlights Bang Bang! This one the bats were on the attack from both sides. Just a barn burner, with offense busting out the sides. With that said, both starters were veterans that had been around the block, so that’s usually how these type of games are bred as well.

The Royals offense could not get anything going, and swinging at the first pitch was the biggest disease of the night. Quite honestly, a very putrid performance against an Orioles team that is really struggling to start the season.

The Royals offense has been disappointing, but at least it's gotten better. The Orioles pitching has been more disappointing and gotten worse.
