I am seeing a lot of references to articles called "AWS layed off 40% of DevOps staff" as reason for yesterday. But I have yet to see an article with a convincing source. Before spreading snappy articles like that, check the sources, folks 🙏 I doubt things are that simple

This is a good time to dust off your BCPs/DRPs, folks 📋 They feel unnecessary right up until the point where you need them the most. Also, hug-OPS to all engineers who were affected by this. Hope people are doing OK out there 🧸

Another quick post with #ai as the subject. I am trying really hard here to not be a hype-man, but damn Sourcegraph Amp and Claude Code are next level 😅

Relevant blogpost I just revisited. Most engineers I know have one time or another asked themselves "can we build this better"? The answer is usually more complex than it seems at first glance. I can tell you that from experience 🙈

Tis the season to be jolly 🎅 but also for phishing, unfortunately. Scammers take advantage of the stress and extra emails and arriving packages to get people to give up sensitive information during the Holiday season. Here is a write-up on spotting phishing:

We live in amazing (and scary) times. I’ve been diving more into Linux and containers from a security perspective, and just being able to ask chatGPT stuff like this and quickly get a competent answer out is crazy 😄🫣 #linux #containers #sockets #redteam
