Wrapping up classes for the semester! I took Psychology with @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social, easily one of the most interesting classes i've taken! My fav topic was learning about the unconscious and dreams, and I loved how we connected theories to Modern Family. Super cool and engaging way to learn!

Watching Cam in Modern Family through Maslow’s lens, it’s clear how much “meaning” drives behavior. It’s not about sports or parenting, it’s about fulfillment.

What’s fascinating about the unconscious is that it doesn’t “know time.” Old emotions can feel current because, to your mind, they kind of are. I think this is the most fascinating aspect of psychology to me

I learned about Adler’s birth order theory this week in @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social class and apparently middle children are supposed to be the rebellious ones. But growing up between a rule-breaking older sister and a spoiled youngest, I somehow became the biggest rule follower of the three.

My sister just shared a TikTok with me where someone classically conditions their friend to fear the word “Wingstop” 😭 Crazy how examples of learning theory show up everywhere on social media!

This story is eye opening… and helps us understand that with all the ways AI can help, it’s not a person- it’s a program telling you what will keep you engaged- “ sycophant mode”
