while I'm doing roguelike thoughts that nobody asked for more people need to steal from the way that games like Invisible Inc and FTL handle kind of cascading failure and tension building
StS is great but losing that is answering a math question wrong, FTL losses are a fucking train wreck it rules

Despite being some of my favorite roguelikes, I'm kinda scratching my chin trying to figure out why it feels like Invisible, Inc and Into the Breach didn't quite have the longevity and staying power of ones I've sunk much more time into.
