Let me tell you, 2025 kicked my butt and sat me down. I’m behind schedule but hopeful and excited about spring.
I just woke up this morning grateful that books exist. The feeling led me to update my wishlist on my @libro.fm app. This isn’t an ad for them but I hope more people use their services. After I saw my local bookstore, Cafe Resistance, was listed as one I could help, it made me really happy.

Outside of my own events, I’ve never heard of a fantasy space that celebrates black culture and nerdiness. I literally created what I wanted to see in the world and invited EVERYONE to come join me in this space. If you love diverse spaces/people and want to frolic as a magical being, join me!

I’ve read some black American fairytales I hadn’t heard before this month. I wish there wasn’t so much stigma and suppression of Black American folklore. Sometimes it feels like finding a needle in a haystack. I don’t believe these stories should be forgotten.

I recently had to redesign a post and some of my website because I began to recognize that I had stock photos from Canva that were AI. I wish I had the tools to do my own graphic designs.
Hi! Quick note: The Onion accidentally posted a stock photo from a vendor with an AI generated image in it. We pulled the post down once we found that out. Our commitment to not using AI is very real. It's in the union contract to disclose it if we ever do. World is a slop minefield and we're sorry.
