Trump, like Brexit, like good old ‘Boris’, is the latest installment in a seemingly interminable but entirely predictable global game of “I told you so” that’s not much fun to watch.

Trump’s blaming of Ukraine for Russia’s unjustified invasion of Ukraine is the international diplomacy equivalent of a rapist blaming the victim of rape for having been raped.

Not unexpected from a man who knows little about diplomacy but much about raping.
