It has been a busy 3 weeks. Vigils and protests and petitions and...
Proud to be a UU today as our national association joined in a multifaith effort to return places of worship to sanctuaries for all people. The fight for liberation continues.

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The start of our lunar new year decor. I think the kids did a wonderful job on the Chinese section. Hoping to make the other hallway areas feature decorations from other countries as well :)

Yule is small and quiet, but it is. It's been a hard year. But hope remains for tomorrow.

Gisele Pelicot is an absolute hero. I think that we should build statues to our ideals and values rather than people, but damn. Gisele deserves one.

The solstice is one of my favorite nights of the year. Although we usually emphasize the return of the sun, I love to focus on what I love about the dark. About quiet. About stillness. It is an incredibly peaceful night for me, and I'm so excited to celebrate with some of my people this evening.

Pov: assembling 40 stockings for the church's children. It is turning into a holiday scavenger hunt around the building. Decembers are tiring for religious professionals, but it's worth it!

The trickiest thing about soup weather is not eating too much soup to avoid getting sick of said soup. My 15 year old has already asked for food you can chew 😅

Finished the Hinterland hat by Gabrielle Waitman inspired by the Welsh crime procedural of the same name. The yarn was a random ball from Brown Sheep Co given to me by my grandmother before she died. I miss visiting her in Nebraska where I could have actually worn this hat 😆
