#OnThisDay 40 years ago Ayrton Senna scored his first #F1 GP win, at Estoril, in teeming rain. It was a superb victory, stunning in its dominance (he lapped all but one other driver) & elegant in its execution, & what a fab pic Steven Tee took of Lotus team manager Peter Warr!

That was a yawn yawn race. Max never in trouble. McLaren not aggressive enough on strategy. Ferrari nowhere. Hope the rest of the triple header is a little more spicy. #F1
